Everyone please listen to what I'm about to say.
This site is small in nature, yes. It's not a mega-corporation like HornFans or even a local business like BurntOrangeFanZone.
But that doesn't mean that we have to have less class or tact than those sites.
There is to be no posting of innuendo, rumors or what you take to be fact about the personal matters of players, whether they are still at the University or not.
This includes their sexuality, their Friday night downtown, their grades, their classroom attendance and many more things.
I know sometimes this site has the feel of a "friday night tailgate", but please, before you post remind yourself that you might as well be standing at 18th and San Jacinto with a microphone and a PA every time you post on this site.
Think about whether what you are about to post you would like to read about your own family member, your friend or yourself.
Not that it should even matter, common decency should tell you not to talk about people's personal matters on a public message board, but this site is read by more people than you think. I know for a fact that several Longhorn players read Wheeler's site, and I would imagine that the same is probably the case for this site as well.
This site should be somewhere to celebrate, support and admire our fellow Longhorn bretheren, not humiliate, embarrass and disrespect them.
This isn't meant to call out any one or two people or reference one thread, but it serves as a reminder to the whole board.
We will be adopting the Wheeler policy of no attacks on players as well. I don't want to read that "Player A sucks" or "Player B can't catch a cold."
There is absolutely zero debate about this policy.
Thank you for reading this and Hook 'Em.
