Pilot's Move Averts Possible Plane Crash

HAMBURG, Germany (March 3) - A Lufthansa jet carrying 131 passengers was caught by gusting wind as it tried to land during a storm, causing a wing tip to graze the runway before the pilot got the plane back off the ground, the airline said Monday.


Airline spokesman Wolfgang Weber said the plane was rocked by wind clocked at 155 mph as it tried to land.

You may have seen/heard in the news how Nashville has been in a severe gas shortage. For about a week now, it's been like Mad Max trying to get fuel in the Middle Tennessee area... and all due - I have no doubt - to very dumb sheeples that live around here. It just takes a couple of gomers at Starbucks to start a rumor that we will run out of gas because of Ike and next thing you know, self-fulfilling prophecy rears its ugly head as everyone is this numbskull part of the country descends on every gas station along with every gas container they ever had in their garages.

Anyhow, someone dubbed the following video clip on the situation that is absolutely freaking hilarious, even if you aren't familiar with the Middle Tennessee are. There are funny VY and Norm Chow references in the mix (approx. 4 minute clip), so don't short-change yourself on watching this...

These are from a friend of mine in Boston.....he's a producer by trade, but does these videos on the side, and they actually get him a lot of work....the first one is greatness.
