I like this list a lot. I'm not sure about Memento, I haven't seen it in a long time and I really liked it at the time, but haven't been compelled to watch it since. I also haven't seen Inglourious Basterds yet so I can't speak on that. My list will probably include Waltz With Bashir which is the movie that has affected me most since City of God.

Am I the only one on here that didn't like The Departed? I remember checking my watch about 20 minutes in and realizing that i had over 2 more hours to sit through.

I think it might be among the best Thriller-Genre Pics of the decade, but I didn't see an "Oscar" film there...

The reason it is so highly acclaimed is because the Academy Awards used it as the vehicle to give Scorsese a sort-of Lifetime Achievement award since he didn't win for Taxi Driver, Raging Bull, Last Temptation, Goodfellas, Gangs of New York, or Aviator


Also, City of God should have made my honorable mention list....not sure how I overlooked that
