EVERYONE Read...Moderation Policy Reminder

Everyone please listen to what I'm about to say.

This site is small in nature, yes. It's not a mega-corporation like HornFans or even a local business like BurntOrangeFanZone.

But that doesn't mean that we have to have less class or tact than those sites.

There is to be no posting of innuendo, rumors or what you take to be fact about the personal matters of players, whether they are still at the University or not.

This includes their sexuality, their Friday night downtown, their grades, their classroom attendance and many more things.

I know sometimes this site has the feel of a "friday night tailgate", but please, before you post remind yourself that you might as well be standing at 18th and San Jacinto with a microphone and a PA every time you post on this site.

Think about whether what you are about to post you would like to read about your own family member, your friend or yourself.

Not that it should even matter, common decency should tell you not to talk about people's personal matters on a public message board, but this site is read by more people than you think. I know for a fact that several Longhorn players read Wheeler's site, and I would imagine that the same is probably the case for this site as well.

This site should be somewhere to celebrate, support and admire our fellow Longhorn bretheren, not humiliate, embarrass and disrespect them.

This isn't meant to call out any one or two people or reference one thread, but it serves as a reminder to the whole board.

We will be adopting the Wheeler policy of no attacks on players as well. I don't want to read that "Player A sucks" or "Player B can't catch a cold."

There is absolutely zero debate about this policy.

Thank you for reading this and Hook 'Em.

I should also add that recruits and potential recruits fall under this protection as well.

I am also looking for a new pic to replace Kevin... As classic a picture as it is, I'm getting tired of looking at him...

Why dont we put up a picture of a former UT player, being owned

there are plenty pics of chris sims getting hammered on the goal line vs. OU before giving up that interception for a TD, I'm sure peabody sleeps with pics of Roy because if that play.

All the posts here seem to be our own way of having fun throughout the day and to communicate, are we limited to not talking about just UT players, at the risk of offending someone at the university?

PJ's matter's werent private they were very public, btw.

What about Biggio's armor, his elbow covering might start to cry???
Pink shirts all around might be offended after seeing Chay's picture.
Maybe we could have Michael Moore as a moderator to take us through some sensitivity training.
Certainly, Matt Leinart is offended since he is clearly not as good a QB as Matt Craig in the clutch and he also tosses a very shitty spiral.

How about a no cursing policy, Evan can you force the site to block a list of bad words?

howieman,

You are free to start your own board and quit posting on this one. It won't take long to pass the tissue box.

Yes it is. Friends turning on friends or so it seems.

The countdown clock on my posting priviledges is probably already ticking.

A. It's time to re-visit this policy.

B. We're extending this to other posters. No more "you're an idiot" because someone disagrees with your opinion.

In short, everyone just try not to be a douche. None of us are in our early 20s anymore (mostly none of us), so maybe it's time we all grow up a little bit. It is possible to disagree in a civil manner. Perhaps our rhetoric should reflect that.

Thanks!
