This boy's good.

25 points in 22 straight games. Allen Iverson is the only other player to do that in the last 9 seasons. The Thunder have now won 28 games, after winning 23 all of last year.

He and Westbrook make a great backcourt combo!

With a record of 109-23 and 6 Big 12 titles in 10 seasons, Stoops has reason to be arrogant. But he is not. He is somewhere between humble and unimpressed.

Maybe I'm naive, but I think he's going to be with the Thunder for a long time. He doesn't mind playing in a market where nobody really recognizes him and he genuinely seems to enjoy the guys he plays with. I think he's there for the long haul.

You have to assumethat the Thunder will pick up his option?? My guess is Durant will be in OKC for the duration of his career. With the Larry Bird exception they can pay him more than any other team. Plus he's growing up with the guys he's playing with. They are trending upwards right now. The economy in Oklahoma hasn't tanked like it has in most places in the country. I also think he really enjoys giving the Sooner fans a hard time every chance he can. What's not to like about the situation right now?

I was totally kidding about that.......they'll obviously pick up that $3+ million dollar option.

As for his future.....I doubt he stays in Oklahoma City, but who knows. While I do agree that his personality doesn't beckon him to NY or LA.....at the same time, his personality also doesn't beckon him to sign the most lucrative contract available to him, i.e. taking advantage of the Larry Bird rule. I think OKC has a much better chance of keeping him around due to his personality, but he's an DC/East Coast kid, and I wouldn't be surprised to see him with the Wizards if that whole Arenas contract gets torn up.

Obviously I'm biased but I see more advantages to staying on a team that is up and coming right now than going to a team that is in shambles.

The team is obviously trying to build the team around him, ala Tyson Chandler trade, and by the time he will be nearing the time to re-up his contract OKC should be in the thick of the Western Conference. I realize anything can happen between now and then but just jump forward 5 years and look at the teams ahead of the Thunder right now in the standings:

1. Lakers-Kobe will be 36 in 5 years.
2. Denver-Carmelo will be 31. Definitely not in the declining years but with the coaching situation who knows if Karl will be there.
3. Dallas-Dirk will be 36.
4. Utah-I guess Boozer is the star there. He'd be 33.
5.Phoenix-Stoudamire will be 32. Although that's not old, he's been mentioned several times in trade talks.
6.San Antonio-Duncan will be 38.
7.Portland-This is the one team that looks to be set up better than the Thunder in a few years with Aldridge and Roy both being monsters and only to get better.
8. OKC-Durant and Westbrook will be 26. Jeff Green will be 28. James Harden will be 25. If they are able to pull off a Gasol type trade and put someone decent in the middle, there's no telling where this team could go.

I realize I'm a homer but if things break the right way, this team could be loaded for bear. Not sure Durant would leave a situation that is set up perfectly for him to a team that is rebuilding on the East Coast ala the Knicks and Bullets.

Yeah I think he stays in OKC. There is always talk about these guys going elsewhere but they usually stay put.

my parents offer me tickets to every game. I need to go one of these years. I'm just not that much of a basketball fan.

Thunder are now tied for fifth place in the West with New York, Minnesota, and Phoenix on deck.
