Hmmm... I'm really not sure. Probably.

No doubt Goodell is an awful person.

"Better than MIchael Sam coverage" is damning with faint praise.

I was under the impression that "Biggie Smalls" was just a nickname for Tupac until Bill Burr discussed both of them on his podcast this week.

Have to be honest, any discussion of college football playoff revisions that start with "5 conference champions..." is an automatic tune-out for me.

Have to be honest. Christmas cards don't move the needle for me. Great. You dressed up a little bit and paid somebody to take your picture in front of a tree.

Have to be honest, I still don't undertand what's going on during most of Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones.

Have to be honest. I don't like funerals. I especially don't like walking past the coffin at the end of the funeral for a view of the open casket. I always dismiss myself and leave. I don't like view of the corpse being my last memory of my friend or relative.

I agree, I usually skip the viewing, no need to see that.
"He/she looks so peaceful!"
"They made him/her look so natural!"
Awkward.

Yep my mom always gets mad at me because I don't want to see the open casket at family funerals.

Only exception was my grandpa. The man taught me everything I know about sports gambling, so the morning of his funeral I went by LSP and got him a racing form and clipped the basketball lines from DMN and made sure he had them that day.

I've been to 6 funerals in my life...I feel like that's a pretty low number at this point, but I have no idea. None before age 18, only one before age 26.

[Parenthood spoilers below... if you haven't seen the end, you give a shit about the end, and you're not one to expect obvious endings, be warned!]

Spoiler: show
I told Kristina that when I die I want to be cremated, ala Zeke, the patriarch from Parenthood (played by "Coach," Craig T Nelson), whose instructions said to spread his ashes on a baseball field and then play a game. Except I don't want any of you having a heart attack by trying to exert physical energy playing a sport, so spread some of my ashes wherever we're tailgating for the biggest night game of that season and you tailgate the shit out of that spot all day long. Rinse and repeat once each season until I am gone for good.

I'm totally out on open caskets.

I won't look. I'm not scared or anything but it seems morbid and inappropriate.

Have to be honest, but I've never heard a Jason Isbell song in my entire life.

Based on what I know of your listening habits/show attendance history from here on the message board, I would guess that his stuff is not going to be your cup of tea.

I wouldn't really call him country. Especially not that first 400 Unit album.

I'm also fairly sure I've never heard a Wilco or Old 97's song. :-# :-# :-#

Speaking if Wilco I went to see Uncle Lucius last weekend completely convinced I was going to see the other half of the greatness that was Son Volt......about 4 songs in I remembered that's actually Uncle Tupelo. Hahaha. Oh well it was still a pretty solid show.

Aside from their first album, Wilco is most definitely not country. They haven't done anything I've really liked in over a decade though. You might like Yankee Hotel Foxtrot and Summer Teeth.

Yeah, I didn't think Wilco was country...just threw out two other LM favorites that I've never listened to.

I probably should.

Since we had a Wilco reference, I should mention that I got Wilco right during the Name that Tune round in this week's trivia (couldn't remember the song name "I'll Fight" and didn't opt to go with the obvious repeated line in the chorus)

Jury Duty sucks. The trial was interesting. Deliberation sucks ass. I have 2 liberal morons without a clue of common sense in our group of 12. Tomorrow will be day 3 of deliberations. These 2 morons remind me of the state department spokesperson that said we need to find jobs for ISIS not kill them.
