and I'm still pissed off that the little p-word Roberto Benigni for that Life is Beautiful crap and Shakespeare in Love won the Best Actor and Best Film over Tom Hanks and Saving Private Ryan. I still can't get over it. Is it unhealthy? Probably. But I'll go to my grave knowing I'm right on this one.

Agreed that SPR should have won. I finally watched LIP a few years later, though, and really enjoyed it.

Speaking of older movies, I watched The Kite Runner for the first time the other night and thought it was one of the best films I've ever seen. Incredibly powerful.
