Blackberry Applications Thread

Postby MBK271 on Mon Jan 18, 2010 9:33 am

Alright, I just got a Blackberry for work adn I'm wondering what I should load on this thing.

I know Google Maps is a must, what else? And more importantly, are they free?

I konw I want the app that tells you what is playing if BB has one.
why don't you run back to the sandbox where the rest of the kids are playing so the adults can have a discussion...it's over there....you see Howie, he's over there with PMS knocking over other kids sandcastles...looks like fun.

It already comes with everything you need.

If you want to play games, get one of those other little portable gadgets.

No games needed here.

However, the Google app being able to pinpoint my position and give me turn by turn directions to the restaurant/bar/coffee shop that I'm looking for is nice.

I'm looking for practicle apps like that.

Being able to get the name of the song playing on the radio is nice too. Call me a gamer.

Is there a pong application? As dated as the blackberry is it should have that.

I found http://www.youversion.com to be a great site that has a bberry app for reading the Bible. There are dozens of translations to pick from, lots of different reading plans to help you schedule reading the Bible in various time frames, search function for finding specific verses or topics in the Bible, live chat forums, etc.

I downloaded it primarily to always have access to the Bible, schedule readings daily, and use the search function.

I've heard good things about Pandora. I'll take a look.
