Up in the Air: 9/10

Thought this movie was going to be good, but it was even better than expected. The writing and acting is all top-notch, and let's face it......two hours with George Clooney is always soothing to the soul!!!!

(No need for a "gay or not gay" inquiry.....I know)

On a serious note, Clooney should and probably will get an Oscar nomination for this.....he was great, as was the entire cast. Parts of this movie hit a little close to home, which might be why I liked it so much, at least certain parts of Clooney's character and the story in general.....definitely recommend this movie.

Up In the Air is easily the best movie that came out in 2009 to come out in 2010.

So I think it may have come out at the ass end of December making it a 2009, but...

Crazy Heart 8/10. Thought Jeff Bridges was greatness in this. Loved the appearance from Ryan Bingham and The Dead Horses. They could have done better than Collin Ferrell for the up and coming guy, but what are you gonna do?

Greenberg 7/10
The Wolfman 4/10

If you like Noah Baumbach's other movies (Kicking and Screaming, The Squid and The Whale), you'll probably like Greenberg as well.

I'm so fucking in on that. The fake previews were about the only redeeming quality of Grindhouse. I hope they wind up making Thanksgiving as well.

Iron Man 2 - 7/10

I enjoyed it. That's about it. Noting Earth shattering, but I was entertained for two hours.

Went and saw Get Low. Meh. Robert Duvall turns in a great performance, but Bill Murray's "Look how bored I can look!" bit that he does in pretty much every movie he's been in over the past decade really didn't fit in here. Save your $10.

I know this movie has a thread all its own, but...

Inception. 9/10

Only drawback, if you can say that, was the nice, neat, tidy ending to it. I'm certainly not complaining so overall it was a good.

Just out of curiosity, what was the nice, neat tidy ending? The end was actually the complete opposite of that, imho.....you have no idea whether or not it was all a dream....like the entire movie, possibly thinking Cobb's inability to deal with the loss of Mal(sp?) put him in a perpetual dream in order to avoid reality.....or maybe not?

I guess they woke up from the plane, quickly moving to picking up bags at the airport, home in the next scene and maybe it was me but knowing the kids would turn around and he would go to them. Thus the nice, neat tidy, hollywood ending, not that it probably didn't have any other way to end.

Just watched The Killer Inside me. It sucked.

Netflix wrote:West Texas Deputy Sheriff Lou Ford (Casey Affleck) is harboring a deep dark secret -- while the small town's residents think him a bit dim, Lou is actually affected by a "sickness" that turns the mild-mannered peace officer into a brutal, psychotic killer. Set in the 1950s, Michael Winterbottom's adaptation of Jim Thompson's classic noir novel co-stars Kate Hudson as Lou's innocent girlfriend and Jessica Alba as Joyce, a local prostitute.

Lots of Jessica Alba skin. Not much else worth mentioning. If I hadn't read the book awhile back, I wouldn't have had a clue what was going on.

I'm having a hard time believing The Town hype. Should I go see it? Also planning on seeing The Social Network soon

The town was pretty decent. Predictable, but at the same time entertaining

The Joneses
Get Low
Shutter Island

The Ghost Writer
The Killer Inside Me

Still need to see a ton of stuff.
