12 Dead, 31 Wounded in Shootings at Fort Hood in Texas

The shooter was killed and two other suspects were in custody, Lt. General Bob Cone said. All three were U.S. soldiers.

Cone said witnesses reported seeing more than one shooter, but that the primary shooter used two handguns.

Thankfully Baghdad Jamie, nor any of the soldiers in his squadron, were there.

Jamie did say that where the shootings happened is a place where they regularly have the soldiers who are preparing to go back to Iraq. He said that there are always at least several hundred soldiers in there. I believe it's some sort of sports dome or arena they have on-base.

The initial CNN report said that one of the shooters was "Neutralized" which he said, "Uh, yeah, that means they killed him."

The first thing out from the administration was that there is no link to terrorism.

Well what a relief that is.

Once again both Virginia Tech and Texas are involved in another high profile massacre. ](*,)

Thoughts and prayers go out to the friends and families of both the lost and the wounded. To be honest I'm almost more shocked that it took this long for something like this to happen than it happening in the first place.

Jesus

Punta Gorda, Fla - WINK News learns that a Punta Gorda man has been shot in the Fort Hood massacre. His mother was on the phone with him when the shooting began.

Justin Johnson, 21, was shot in the chest and leg, according to his mother, Roxanne Johnson.

"I was talking to him and we were just joking around then I heard 'dosh, dosh, dosh' in my ear and I said what is that?" Johnson says. "So at first I thought he was just kidding around and turning up the video game, and then I said well maybe it's a training exercise, so then I start listening and I hear all the screaming."

Johnson never hung up the phone after she heard that. While WINK News was with her -- hours after the shootings -- Johnson still had the phone connected to her son in Fort Hood.

"I just hear people talking and moving around," Johnson says.

She finally got through to the family hotline at Fort Hood, but officials there have not been able to tell her where her son is. They say he is now out of surgery.

Justin Johnson graduated from Port Charlotte High School.

They're saying he did the whole "Allah Akbar" thing.

We should bomb Syria for this.

There's not such place as Palestine, unless you want to bomb Adrian Peterson's alma mater.

That would be an agreeable place to start. If he were there visiting.

The (presumably) new paper shredder is very intriguing.

I could have done without seeing the bottle of Lubriderm in the shower though.

Dude was an obvious dirtbag to live in that flea infested joint, on a Major's pay.
