Pancreatic cancer is an ugly thing.

Yeah...pancreatic cancer is no joke....making it two years is actually very impressive. We discussed it at a couple of tailgates last year, but Joanie's Dad actually lost his battle with it in March after only seven months, and when he started going downhill, he went downhill in a hurry...it was tough to watch. Certainly sad news, and Joanie's Dad had just turned 58, so this'll hit her a little close to home.....RIP Dalton.

He's killin' commies on the other side now. Godspeed, Jed.

I was suprised he survived this long. My wifes grandma was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and she passed away within 2 months of symptoms and diagnosis. Nasty nasty stuff.

I wonder if he has showed up at Demi Moores house yet...

Myles Brand dies of pancreatic cancer today at age 67.......he was just diagnosed in January....RIP.

Chuck Daly, Patrick Swayze and now Brand.....how the hell does one go about getting a regular checkup on their pancreas??? I guess I'm "lucky" because I just had an abdominal CT scan done for something else last month, so I know mine is fine......maybe I should act like I have appendicitis every other year for the rest of my life to make sure???

I think part of what makes it so bad is that when you are diagnosed, it is already in Stage 3 or 4.

My Aunt died almost 12 months to the day she was diagnosed.

My mom died of it in 2002. 12 months from diagnosis.

Wheeler's uncle died of it as well.

LMQueen hit it on the head. I remember those exact things being said around the time my wife's g-ma passed way.
