I doubt I'll be going along for the ride with Vinyl. I was buying what they were selling until the last 30 minutes or so and then all the mayhem just lost me.

Thumbs up for the Better Call Saul S2E1.

Better Call Saul nailed it. What a great show.

Walking Dead was good.
Better Call Saul is appointment TV for me for sure.
Not too crazy about The Xfiles reboot. Too preachy\political.
Wondering if The Americans is about to jump the shark just based on previews.

Is The West Wing a good/worthwhile TV show to watch? I'm thinking about watching it on Netflix. I loved the political drama House of Cards.

Yes.

With the caveat that you'll have to overlook some idealistic liberalism at times.

Anyone watching 'The People vs OJ...'?

Kinda uneven but it does have its moments.

I don't know if they're going for comedy but the whole thing makes me laugh out loud multiple times per episode. They're all cartoon characters and it's entertaining as hell.

Agree with Drew.....I honestly can't tell if Travolta's portrayal of Shapiro is a joke or not......same with Cuba Gooding Jr.'s acting, but I think we've had that conversation in the past on him.

I'm also out on Billions after five episodes.......which is three more than Vinyl made it.

There's just too much good TV on these days to waste my time with overly dramatic and horribly written garbage like those shows. I'm embarrassed for myself for not immediately changing the channel and never watching Billions again after the Metallica episode.

Axelrod: "How do you do it James?"

Hetfield: "I play"

Really.....somebody wrote that.....and it didn't get.....AXED???(sorry)

I am hanging on to Billions for now... but it's not as good as I had hoped it would be. Vinyl was a disappointment again this week. I may cut bait on that one.

The Americans S3 is on Amazon Prime now so I have been catching up on the last few episodes I missed when our DVR box crapped out on us in the Spring. I wanted to finish it last night but the wife wanted to watch OJ.

I'm skipping OJ.

Better Call Saul is delivering this year.

Can't wait for House of Cards season 4.

Finally finished Breaking Bad. Bravo on that one. The second to the last episode may be the greatest 40 minutes of television I've ever seen.

Started Better Call Saul yesterday and have already ripped through 5 episodes. I'm hooked.

Think I'm quitting Peaky Blinders. Still no clue what the hell is going on, and it's losing my interest.

Still in on OJ. I find it very good, but also kind of goofy. Very annoyed by them insisting on inserting the f'ing Kardashian kids into every episode.

Apologies.

But y'all are right on the characterizations and caricatures. I was cracking up last night when they were trying to get OJ to fire\demote Shapiro.
They should have showed flashbacks of some of the goings on in Resznicks book btw...

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this yet (too lazy to check), but we've really enjoyed plowing through three seasons of Ray Donovan. It's not artistically elite or full of complex, deep plots and award winning acting, but I'll be damned if it wasn't the most enjoyable part of my day. It's kind of like the Los Angeles version of Justified.

I watched two episodes and could not get into it, but I know quite a few people that really like it. Maybe I'll give it another shot someday. I do like Liev Schreiber.

It jumped the shark in Season 2 with the daughter dating the rapper story line....and then it just got ludicrous in Season 3 with the female professional wrestler story line. That all being said, I might watch Season 4 just because of Liev Schreiber. I'm with Jeremy....it's not brilliant television, but it's entertaining at times.....just too many story lines.....we don't need to have nine different story lines to follow. Oh, and his kid.....that is most likely the single worst actor that's ever been on a major television show.....ever.
