I can vouch. I have done this lunch menu with Jeremy before and it was good!

OU/TX Weekend

Friday - Lunch at Nate's Seafood & Steakhouse. I had the Red Fish on the Half Shell. Delicious. I freaking love that garlic bread that they serve in the tray of melted butter. Yummy.

Saturday After the F'ing game - Blue Goose across the street from Nates. Had the fajitas. Yummy. Their tortillas kick ass. Their red salsa kicks ass. I didn't care for the citrus flavor added to the fajitas, but they were delicious anyhow.

I've never eaten at In 'N' Out, but it is definitely not in the same league as Five Guys.

It's not bad, but the bun had some sort of funky flavor going on and the meat itself wasn't as flavorful. I'd say it's above average, but not stellar.

Wow, this post was from October 17, 2007. I ate there again today, October 16, 2008.

Much better experience today. See other burger thread for more detailed review.

Funny... the first thing I thought when I tried Mooyah was that it was the same place as Five Guys.

Now I'm going to go start my own fucking Five Guys thread.

I ate at Corner Bakery today, and it wasn't bad at all. Far preferable to Panera, though I've only eaten at each place once.

Had the 1/2 Caesar with a cup of Chicken tortilla soup.

Had Pappadeaux today. Love me some Pappadeaux.

House salad with creole dressing

Redfish with Tapatulo sauce (white wine sauce with jack cheese, pico, crawfish, crab and cajun sausage - covered in roasted pecans). On top of dirty rice.

The meal was almost sexual in nature.

Today was a very special day for me. I had an old friend for lunch today.

I couldn't really decide what I wanted for lunch to day when I woke out of bed this morning. When I got to work, I decided to check out my 1st post on this thread. There it was. There was my old friend that I'd for some reason totally forgotten about, the Bella Vista Sandwich. How could I have forgotten about this sandwich that in my 2nd post I'd mentioned it was worthy of my last meal on death row. It's been at least 2 or 3 years since I dined on this Hope Diamond of sandwiches.

Today was Glory!

My love affair with the Bella Vista Sandwich has begun once again.

I had a monumental foodgasm today

btw, the service still sucked as all get out. The Greek lady remembered me. She even remembered that I like Diet Coke. I'm glad that old had mother-in-law of hers was not there to serve me REAL Coke again. Seriously, I need to take a day off from work and teach the Greek lady how to wait tables and take care of customers. I almost walked out today b/c she is soooo f'ing slow.

Babes (in Burleson)--one of the guys I was doing calls with randomly suggested it (me and another guy had never been before). I would think that it is near the pinnacle of a Fried Chicken meal....for whatever that is worth. Definitely should have waited to do it for dinner though, the post-meal carbocalypse is definitely coma inducing.......

Another trip to DFW, another non-call to JRod . . .

Had Babe's on Halloween. Yums.

So, I went to Bella Vista today to have my much cherished Bella Vista sandwich.

The Greek lady basically kicked my out of the restaurant today.

I show up at 11:15am. Since the service sucks so bad, showing up at this time will be a positive, and it won't take me forever to f'ing order and get my food.

I walk in and the place is dark except for the kitchen. I sit down and finally the Greek lady comes out about 10 minutes later after she had seen me come in. She tells me that it is going to be 20 or 30 minutes before she is ready to take my order. She also tells me that the restaurant is not open yet.

I tell her that the door was unlocked and the menu says that they open at 10:00am. She gets mad and tells me that today they aren't open at 10:00am. I tell her that is not my fault and how was I supposed to know that.

She goes back into the kitchen and ignores me. I finally get up and leave and tell her that I will come back. She says good that I need to leave and give her about 30 minutes before I come back. I didn't come back. I just went and ate some Mexican food.

If that Bella Vista sandwich wasn't worth it, I wouldn't even bother with this damn place.

She sounds like a much bitchier version of Ms. Ann the creator of the "Best Burger in America" the Ghetto Burger here in Atlanta. We went for my cousin's birthday a little after 11 when she says she opens and she wasn't open yet. The old lady does her thing, but the burgers are worth the ridiculous wait.
