Thanks U2--might be too long for me to wait. Then again, I've waited this long....

and now the waiting begins... Does Apple/AT&T do anything to allow iPhone 3G users to upgrade without paying extra money for the phone b/c of the 2 year contract? It would be very silly for them to not allow iPhone 3G users to upgrade, as that is the bulk of the fanbase for these phones...

Well seeing as how my BlackBerry finally bit the dust I jumped on the band wagon today.

You guys pretty much know what I am in to. What application are "must haves" for a 26 year old, who acts 16, and still thinks drinking like he is in college is acceptable?

the latest applications that I've gotten are

1) I.tv I love it. It is basically a TV guide. You can set it for your zipcode and provider. I have mine tuned to DishTV. You can also fine tune it to your favorite channels. It's really sweet. It even gives you a link to wikipedia for some movies so you can read in detail about the making of the movie and the history behind it.

2) USA Today. this is probably my favorite news application. I also like the AP Mobile news application.

3) SCI FI wire. It has lots of good reading about movies, TV, and general Sci fi stuff duh! I like it.

Sportacular
Facebook
MLB At Bat (I don't think the paid 2009 version is available yet, but trust me, you'll want to make sweet love to it).

Then you'll want a restaurant/bar app like iWant, AroundMe or Urban Spoon.

Around Me is a very nice food application. It even lists hole-in-the-wall local restaurants which are my favorites.

MLB At-Bat app to start streaming live video of games starting tomorrow.

Sadly, no local broadcasts, and only 1 or 2 a day, but still very intriguing on what this can become for not only this app but others.

Is anyone here using a turn-by-turn GPS application, and which ones are you using and have liked/had problems with? There are tons of options out there, and it's hard to sift through all the reviews as most of the problems users have with iphone applications stem from the fact that they're complete morons.

Any of you had good/bad experiences with a GPS app with full turn-by-turn functionality???

I read somewhere you know you are able to if you go to SETTINGS > MESSAGES and there are MMS options.
